Most of the time we beat ourselves up with making New Year’s Resolutions and then not following up with them. There is much controversy about HOW we should make our New Year’s Resolutions. Most of the teachers I read prefer to set  GOALS with deadlines.

Nevertheless it is a personal choice. See what is working for you and what is not.

Here are some tips I recommend:

1. Type it up with large pleasing font on a nice sheet of paper and paste it up in your workspace or somewhere like your bathroom mirror where you’ll see it every day.

2.Put “small” goals as well as large ones on the list. And if the list is too large and overwhelming, it isn’t going to help you…it will just depress you. Example, “Tell James at least one thing I appreciate about him every day”

3. If you’re goal-setting around habits, then make consistency the most important thing and give yourself some wriggle room and make sure you write down your successes: eg. Contact at least one sales lead every week for my network marketing company (even if you think you should do 50)

4. Be willing to revise your resolutions as you reach for your goals and dreams while at the same time staying focused on what you want to create.

Tomorrow is very auspicious. We have a Blue Moon – in other words, not only do we have two full moons in one month, the full moon begins on the eve of a new decade…and there’s a lunar eclipse!

Get ready for synchronicities to fill your life. I’ve been experiencing a lot lately…and it isn’t just me. If you pay attention, you’ll know what I mean. I have so many stories to tell you I can’t possibly write it all here…but I’ll blog about them.

I was just up in Canada visiting my parents. They aren’t really “into” the Law of Attraction, but even they experienced miraculous synchroniticities that they shared. One such episode occurred when my mother went to Vietnam to visit the Twin Heaven bridge my great grandfather built years ago. There they met a well-dressed elderly woman with permed hair (very rare in Vietnam) who happened to be standing there (seemingly for no reason).

My mother decided to ask the short old lady (who reminded my mother of her own mother) about whether she remembered the special ointment my great grandfather had created (from a dream he had) which became famous around the country. She nodded yes and strangely enough even spoke English as she rubbed her tummy (the ointment aided stomach aches).

After the event, my parents were both convinced this woman was an Angel because of so many coincidences: she spoke English, had a perm and was short like my grandmother, and she happened to be there when my mother asked about the bridge and the ointment.

My mother found out later when she relayed the story to relatives that the description of the old lady matched one of her deceased aunts whom she never met before, who used to live in Vietnam! Wow!

My parents also encountered another synchronicity while in Hong Kong. They wanted to meet up with an old friend, but could not for the life of them contact him. They just about gave up. My mom had a party in her honor to attend. Sychronistically, the man they wanted to see was also being honored in the next room in the SAME restaurant.

Hong Kong is huge and has a zillion Chinese restaurants. What are the chances?

My dad said finally, “I’m beginning to believe there is no such thing as co-incidence.” This from my skeptical dad!

So here’s the news: those of us who have been working on manifesting our dreams and working on our personal growth are helping all others to do the same whether they want it or not! How awesome is that!

It is called the Holographic Universe. What I learn will seem to be magically transferred to every other living being who is energetically connected to me and vice versa. I have miracles of my own to share, but will do so on the blog because I’m running out of room here!

Suffice it to say that YOUR dreams are not far behind. If you don’t have dreams, then you’re not taking advantage of our connection. And it isn’t about me, it is about the consciousness of the entire world is shifting with lightning speed as we approach 2012.

Yes, there will be stragglers, but eventually they will be pulled along by the sheer momentum of our positive energy. It will look chaotic and messy along the way, BUT you will have synchronistic signs along the way.

I promise.

So when you make your New Year’s resolutions, make them good ones! (check out the blog for details)

Stay connected. Stay in touch. Comment on my blogs. Get some coaching. Whatever you feel drawn to…just do it! You cannot make a mistake.

On this day of your life, Karen, I believe God wants you to know… 
 ...that the next step is the most important step. Take it now. Do not wait.

Life is not going to come down there and sprinkle glitter dust on your shoulders to let you know that you are Good…or that you are walking the Right Path…or that you are making the Best Decision.

Take the next step. Right now. Stop waiting for a “sign” from the “gods.” Your sign is your intuition, wrapped in your desire. 

Hesitation is not a stopping place on the road to heaven.

I love the part about the “glitter dust”. Do you resonate with this message? I certainly do because I was the “poster child” for waiting for the perfect opportunity to show up in order for me to take action. In fact, if I wasn’t already guaranteed some sort of outer world “success”, I would shy away from the opportunity.

Take my favorite pasttime for example: figure skating. When I began, I had the not-so-lofty notion (I chuckle when I think of it now) that I was going to learn to skate once and for all (being Canadian and not knowing how to skate was terribly embarrassing to me!).

I was awful at skating! Terrible! OK, that’s a little harsh, but let’s just say that I was the second worst skater in the entire adult skating class and I was embarrassed. (The worst skater was the friend who convinced me to go with him).

I was about to quit when my husband at the time, the blessed gift he was in my life, gave me his opinion of my situation. He told me that I was one dimensional and that I was too scared to try something I didn’t already know I was good at, so he felt I should stick it out (and be OK with, in his words, “sucking” at something new).

Thankfully, I took his advice and stuck it out for 20 weeks. I found a fabulous new coach, who I’m still with today, and the rest is history. Several Gold medals and national recognition in my sport is the result of the Just Frickin Do It approach to life.

So if you’re waiting for a GRAND invitation to take the next step in your life, be it introducing yourself to the cute gal in the next office, or walking up and saying hi to the guy with the goo-goo eyes you see at the grocery store every week, stop waiting!

Just Frickin’ Do It! as my teacher T. Harv Eker would say.

Take action. Any action. Take the next logical step action. Yes it is scary sometimes, but believe me, it is WELL worth it!

For someone who was afraid of everything growing up (ME), I’ve become the embodiment of the opposite these days. You should have seen me flying on the Trapeze last summer.

So Just Frickin’ Do It. Don’t worry about falling down. If you do (like in skating), just get back up, correct and continue! The only true failures in this world are people who QUIT moving towards their dreams. Don’t let that happen to you.

I believe in you.

So Just Frickin’ Do It!

My partner, James, just told me about an old high school friend he just connected with on Facebook. She was lamenting that her daughter, who lost her dad in the military, has been in the hospital due to mental distress. He was asking me about what he could do to counsel his friend.

I suggested two things, the first of which was specific to James’ skill as a healer. I told him that he could do a distance Reiki healing on the daughter. He would have to sense telepathically whether she would accept the healing before proceeding (us healers don’t IMPOSE our healings on others if they don’t want it).

The second thing I suggested was for him to tell his friend to write daily journal entries (5 minutes is all that is required) stating all the things she appreciates about her daughter for at least 30 days in a row. Since she lives far away from her daughter, she cannot be by her side to comfort her, and of course as a mother she is worried.

When we try to help people, our worrying adds to their burden. Instead, we want to send a higher vibrational energy stream their way. This journaling exercise is a great way to do it.

So if you have someone you care about in a crisis, the best thing you can do without even having to tell them, is a daily appreciation exercise. This will help them feel better about themselves believe it or not.

I had a case where a patient’s son was suicidal. My patient lived far away so he was distraught he could not help his son. I had him do this exercise for 30 days straight. Very quickly, both the son and the patient got out of the crisis and his son did just fine.

Do not underestimate the power of energy and YOUR power to heal yourself and others. You have much to contribute to the world through your love. And via the Law of Attraction, what you emanate in love will come back to you many times over!

Thanks for writing. Did you say years?

Let me get this straight. You’ve been in love with this woman for years, have told her that you love her and shared with her your desires for your future together and she doesn’t really want to show you she cares all these years?

Well, it is great that she has values, beliefs and desirable qualities you resonate with. That’s a good start. But after being friends for years, don’t you think you’ve waited a long time to have your affections reciprocated? And now you live thousands of miles away!

I’ve heard of a woman playing hard to get, but I’m not getting any sense from you that she is even trying to vie for your attentions. So my question to you is, what exactly are you looking for from this woman? And how can this be the woman you desire if she does not desire you? Years is long enough for her to figure it out don’t you think?

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Well, it’s not really a secret, but many people don’t realize this: that the world is changing faster and faster. And what that means for you is that years is definitely TOO long not to move forward with your life! That’s not to say that learning dating skills won’t be helpful. And learning to understand women is even more helpful.

Here’s what I know. There is a woman (or more than one) out “there” who can’t wait to be with you. Someone who adores you just as you adore her. You don’t have to change yourself just so she will love you. She will love you as you are. Believe it. Feel it – and it will be yours.

You deserve it.

Just because you love this woman you’ve set your sights on doesn’t mean you can’t love another! Instead, use the love you feel to create and attract an even better match. Let go emotionally of being with THIS particular woman. In fact, I’d encourage you to ask her point blank whether she is romantically interested in you or not, and to let her know that it is OK if she isn’t because you’ll learn to move on. You just need to know the truth. Women have a way of not telling the truth because they don’t want to hurt your feelings.

If you can show her that you are “man” (i.e. strong) enough to take the truth, you’ll get it. She needs to know you won’t crumble. And it’s about time that you free yourself of anything and anyone who would slow your growth into the love you desire.

Change is happening much faster in our world now. You cannot “afford” to keep waiting for your life to happen. You deserve to experience life and love like never before.
